The Double Wedding Ring Quilting Class
Class Description:
Class will cut and piece blocks together for a wall hanging, or small baby quilt. Using, “Quilt in a Day” methods we will cut, layout, piece and machine appliqué quilt top. You will need to purchase and prepare fabrics before class. Please pick neutral background, white, off-white, or light colors. Backing can be the same material as the background. Please pre-wash and iron all fabrics.

Basic Requirements for the Class
- A working machine
- Please double check your machine beforehand
- Thread some bobbins in a neutral grey or off white, a few of these will be helpful to save time.
- Cutting mat,
- Olfa cutter with extra blade,
- scissors,
- seam ripper,
- 6x24, 6x6 inch rulers with a 45 degree angle,
- reg. quilt pins,
Additional Requirements
The following materal requirements are all for the wall hanging or small baby lap quilt size. If you are interested in making a different size, use the book for yardage requirements. Please pre-wash and iron all fabrics.

Quiltsmart Instruction/Double Wedding Ring (Available as instructions only or in packet for Double Wedding Ring Quiltsmart)
- Interfacing:For the baby lap size quilt you need 3 panels of printed Double Wedding Ring Quiltsmart interfacing, which is 8 arcs per panel, 24 arcs total. If you want to make a bigger quilt or table runner, check the size on the pattern guide. If this is too hard to figure out, please call me. thanks, Kathy
- Background: 2 1/4 yards
- Binding: 3/8 yards
- Batting: 2 yards
- Backing: 2 yards
- Crossings: 1/4 yard
- Rings: Check the special requirements below for either the Intermediate or Experienced level

Beginning — Intermediate Level: For rings, choose one or two fabrics that will complement each other. You will need 1 yard total for the rings. For corners (crossings), choose complementary fabric to rings.
Experienced level: You may choose to have more piecing in your rings, use complementary colors, using light and dark, six fabrics, 1/4 yard each, for rings and one additional fabric at 1/4 yard, for the crossings.

- invisible thread or decorative quilting thread

- Pieced Arc Template (plastic template by QuiltSmart) will use if making multiple pieces in arcs
- hemostat or bobkin (tool for turning)
